Showing the Love To Our Conference Sponsors

After a 2-year break, Milestone Management just completed the 2011 Management Conference held February 8th through 11th at the Westin Galleria Dallas. This year marked the highest participation level, for all sponsorship levels including Executive Platinum ($10,000 and above). Everyone at Milestone appreciates the contributions of our sponsors and we are continually looking for ways to increase the value of our conferences. This year we put the spotlight on our sponsors to truly communicate our appreciation for them!

To kick off our week, we treated our Sponsors to an “Appreciation Party” with "Sponsor Only" raffles that ranged from cash to e-readers. I must say it seemed almost unnatural for some suppliers to participate, as they kept trying to slip their tickets to Milestone associates! Throughout the evening, everyone had the option to accumulated “winnings” from the casino tables at the party. However, only the sponsors with the most money at the end of the night won the cash prizes. Janet Settle with Executive Platinum Sponsor Capture the Market said, "The supplier party was a wonderful surprise and the chance to win prizes made our night. It shows you guys care about who you do business with."

Wednesday’s Trade Show Lunch infused elements of our overall Milestone Monopoly conference game and encouraged attendees to visit our exhibiting sponsors. The 2-hour block of sponsor-only attention helped to strengthen partnerships with associates they often only speak to by phone.

The big talk of this year’s conference was the “Revenge of the Breakfast Club Brat Packers Dance Party” featuring the Spazmatics. I was honored by the 99% sponsor participation with eighties costumes. From the countless “nerds” to Rainbow Bright, the evening brought back memories for us all! Our event sponsors overwhelmingly commented how great it was to possess the only drink tickets in the house. We felt by providing the sponsors in attendance with unlimited tickets to distribute, the interaction with our associates would coninue to flow throughout the event. From the feedback I have received so far, it flowed!
